I run and staff my own photo studio using thousands of dollars of photography equipment. Please respect my hard work and copyrights. However, I am quite liberal in my policy of using my images...
You may use any image from my website for non-commercial uses (a lot of people like to use images of our artwork on their FaceBook). In turn for the use of an image, you must include a link back to: https://www.orientaloutpost.com or directly to the page where you found the image on this website.
You may not misrepresent the origin or other information about the images or the artwork depicted.
You may not post any image from our website on eBay for any purpose whatsoever.
If you just want to use an image on your website, that's fine. But on the page where you use the image, a link back to https://www.orientaloutpost.com is required. It's even better if you provide a link back to the page on my website where you found the image. The link text can be to the effect of, "Image courtesy of Oriental Outpost" or something that helps me with SEO like, "A Great Discount Asian Art Gallery".
If you want to use an image for a commercial purpose such as printing on coffee cups, book covers, or ceramic tile, please contact me first. In most cases, under Chinese copyright law, if you own the original artwork, you also own the rights to use of the image of that artwork (with some limitations). Therefore, in most cases, the solution is to buy the original artwork from my gallery, and then use the image for your commercial project.
Please note that I am not an attorney, and am just passing on information that I obtained from a purported expert in this field. While I doubt that you would ever encounter any problems, we do not assume any liability for any legal issues that may arise from your use of such images.
